Shawn Lavery DeJames

Ms. DeJames has been involved in corporate and transactional work for nearly 16 years. She has served clients in both private practice and working in-house for international companies. Her experience includes corporate acquisitions, divestitures, financing, contract and document preparation, and intellectual property protection. 

Ms. DeJames is a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. She received her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 1990. Ms. DeJames relocated to South Carolina upon graduating and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar that same year. She is also a member of the Richland County Bar Association and the South Carolina Woman Lawyer’s Association. Ms. DeJames has been Secretary of the Board of the Incarnation Child Development Center since 2003 and has recently been appointed to chair a Constitution & By-laws Team at Incarnation Lutheran Church.
