James H. Lichty

Mr. Lichty’s practice focuses on workers' compensation defense. 

He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in marine science. Mr. Lichty earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland where he earned a certificate in Environmental Law and served on the board of the University of Maryland’s Environmental Law Society. Mr. Lichty also worked as an associate editor of The Business Lawyer, the official journal of the Business Section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Lichty frequently appears before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission representing employers and insurance carriers. 

Apart from his legal practice, Mr. Lichty has served as a guest speaker at the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association annual meeting and has been published in South Carolina Lawyer's Weekly. He frequently presents seminars covering a wide range of topics pertinent to workers' compensation law in South Carolina. Mr. Lichty is a member of the Richland County Bar Association, South Carolina Bar Association, South Carolina Defense Trial Attorney's Association, and the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Educational Association.
