Helen F. Hiser

Ms. Hiser’s practice focuses on environmental law, utilities law, energy regulation and insurance law. Ms. Hiser has done extensive regulatory work involving oil pipeline rate regulation and, more recently, participated in litigation involving electric cooperatives.  Ms. Hiser has worked closely with state regulators on municipal waste permitting issues and on other industrial environmental compliance issues. Ms. Hiser also has extensive experience in evaluating insurance coverage issues relating to environmental clean-up efforts.

Ms. Hiser graduated from the College of Wooster with a Bachelor of Arts in history. She earned a Masters of Science in Library Science from the University of Kentucky and received her Juris Doctor summa cum laude from the Washington College of Law at The American University in Washington, DC. Ms. Hiser is a member of the Maryland Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the South Carolina Bar.
