Mr. Keister’s practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on construction and real estate litigation, catastrophic loss, transportation and automobile litigation, general business practice, business litigation, premises liability and first party defense.
He graduated with honors from Bowling Green State University with a dual major of political science and interpersonal communication. Mr. Keister received his Juris Doctor from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law where he served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Program, was a member of the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Team and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. He regularly represents clients in state and federal courts in North Carolina and is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. He was named a Rising Star in North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine for 2009, 2010 and 2011. He has also been featured in North Carolina Business Leader Magazine and the Book of Leaders Legal Section of Charlotte Business Leader.
