Mr. Ussery's practice focuses on defending workers’ compensation claims.
He graduated cum laude from Wake Forest University with a dual major in English and religion. Mr. Ussery graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and Commercial Regulation. He is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law and a certified mediator. Mr. Ussery is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. He was named a Rising Star in the 2010 edition of 2010 North Carolina Super Lawyers magazine, and was recognized in the 2011 and 2012 editions of North Carolina Super Lawyers.
