Mr. Rawl’s practice focuses on employment law, healthcare law, general and business litigation, as well as representing developers and property managers of government-financed and assisted multifamily housing projects. He handles litigation in both federal and state courts and claims pending with state and federal agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor. Mr. Rawl has appeared before state and federal tribunals in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, New York, New Jersey, and Ohio. He has also appeared before the appellate courts in South Carolina.
He graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in political science. Mr. Rawl received a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and received the CALI award for Real Estate I (Commercial). Mr. Rawl is a member of the American Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association, South Carolina Bar Association, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association, and Leadership Columbia's class of 2010. He serves as the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division District 10 Representative for 2011-2013.
Mr. Rawl co-authored "Impact of Illegal Aliens on Workers' Compensation Costs," Declarations (Excess/Surplus Lines Claims Association), Winter 2008, and is a frequent author and speaker on employment-related topics. He was selected as one of the Midlands' Legal Elite by Greater Columbia Business Monthly magazine in 2011.
