Mr. Kurani practices in the area of workers’ compensation, and he regularly appears before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. 

He graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College with a degree in psychology. Mr. Kurani received his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the Holderness Moot Court National Team. He is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law. Mr. Kurani was ranked among Law & Politics magazine North Carolina "Super Lawyers" in 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2012 (Workers’ Compensation), and he also holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available for lawyers. He served on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys from 2002-2005. Mr. Kurani is a member of the Mecklenburg County and North Carolina Bar Associations, the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute.
