"The generous gift generated from The Long Run 15k and The Not-So-Long-Run 5k is well-timed and much-needed,” said Brad Smith, Souper Bowl of Caring Founder and Board Chair. “We're deeply grateful for this significant support which will mobilize thousands of young people in congregations and schools in every MGC community to raise funds that will go one-hundred percent to agencies that help needy people."

Held on Sat., Feb. 1, The Long Run 15k was presented by MGC and The Not-So-Long Run 5k was presented by Midlands Orthopaedics, P.A. Over 500 runners and walkers and 250 volunteers came out to support Souper Bowl of Caring.

“MGC had a vision for an event that combined our wellness and charitable giving programs, as well as supporting the Midlands community,” said Jay Courie, MGC Managing Member. “The Long Run did just that. This race brought together runners, walkers and volunteers who had the drive to reach a goal while helping Souper Bowl of Caring.”

The 2015 races are scheduled for Sat., Feb. 7. More information will be available soon at www.mgclongrun.com.
