SC Workers' Compensation Commission Considers Mandatory Mediations
At the regular business meeting on January 17, the Commission unanimously approved to proceed with publication of the Notice of Drafting of a new proposed regulation in the February 24, 2012 issue of the State Register which would give Commissioners authority to order mediations, create a list of cases for which mediation before any hearing would be beneficial to all parties and deal with procedural issues to include, but not be limited to, requesting mediations, selecting mediators, and costs.
