Pre-Payment of Processing Fees in NC Workers' Compensation Claims
Pre-Payment of Processing Fees in N.C. Workers' Compensation Claims
On October 1, 2009, the N.C. Industrial Commission will require that payment of the processing fee for Compromise Settlement Agreements, Form 24 Applications and Forms 21, 26/26A Agreements be submitted with the documents themselves. Compromise Settlement Agreements and Form 24 Applications that are submitted electronically will require a written statement from the person submitting the documents attesting that payment has been mailed the same day of submission. The Industrial Commission will not process submission of these documents without payment or certification of payment. The Industrial Commission is seeking to establish an infrastructure so that they may receive funds electronically to aid in submission.
