We help ensure that you are in compliance with all state and federal labor and employment laws, such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and all other state and federal employment statutes. We draft handbooks, policies, procedures, employment agreements and contracts, covenants not to compete and any other employment-related documents employers may need.

Our attorneys counsel employers regularly to help them prevent lawsuits, and, if they are sued, to defend such lawsuits. We offer management training regarding harassment, discrimination, employer liability, counseling and disciplinary action, recruiting, and hiring. We handle the defense of all litigation relating to employment-related claims including representing employers in front of administrative agencies such as the US Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, and the SC Employment Security Commission.

We also assist federal contractors with affirmative action plans and audits, as well as prepare petitions for business-related visas for employers who wish to bring non-US citizens to the US for temporary employment.
