Meet Alee Gonzalez. Alee joined MGC in 2018 as a runner in the firm's Columbia office. Today, she is a scheduling assistant on the Litigation Support team.
A first generation Mexican immigrant, Alee moved to South Carolina when she was four years old. As the first in all of her extended family to graduate from college, she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from South Carolina State University.
In support of her Mexican heritage, Alee uses her voice to advocate for immigrant youth. She is actively involved with local and national immigrant-rights non-profit organizations, such as DACA United SC and United We Dream, to register naturalized immigrants to vote, renew DACA/visas and create awareness for how important the immigrant vote has become. "We also have resources for immigrants to better educate them on current immigration policy," she says.
