Alex Pierson’s practice focuses on insurance coverage, commercial and business litigation and appellate advocacy in our Nashville office, where he represents insurance carriers and their insureds in complex coverage disputes and related litigation. Alex brings a practical, business-focused approach to advising clients, helping them navigate coverage issues, evaluate risk and make informed decisions in high-stakes matters. He understands that effective representation requires more than an analysis of policy language - it requires an understanding of claims-handling realities, operational pressures and the broader business objectives of each client.

Prior to joining MGC, Alex practiced with an insurance defense firm, where he concentrated on insurance coverage and appellate advocacy matters. Earlier in his career, Alex practiced family law and served as a financial legal examiner with a state financial regulatory agency, experiences that strengthened his analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills. This diverse background allows him to approach complex disputes with a broad perspective and a strategic mindset.
