Alexis Johnson’s practice focuses on litigation, including insurance coverage, motor vehicle litigation, trucking and transportation, premises liability and products liability at our Garden City office, where she represents insurance providers in complex civil matters. Alexis brings a strategic, industry‑informed approach to her work, combining litigation experience with prior professional experience in the trucking and logistics sector to effectively counsel and defend clients.

Prior to joining MGC, Alexis practiced with a civil litigation law firm and served as an Attorney General Honors Litigation Fellow with a state attorney general’s office. In those roles, she handled a wide range of litigation matters, including civil rights actions, Article 78 proceedings, employment discrimination claims and complex constitutional issues. At her previous firm, Alexis focused her practice on trucking and motor vehicle accident matters, as well as premises liability claims, giving her valuable insight into high‑exposure liability defense. Alexis has experience contributing to all stages of litigation, including drafting dispositive motions, preparing discovery and assisting with depositions. She has also worked on asbestos litigation and other high‑exposure matters, further strengthening her ability to assess risk and develop effective defense strategies.

During law school, Alexis concentrated in civil litigation and dispute resolution, was selected to the Order of Barristers and participated in Emory’s Supreme Court Advocacy Program. She also served as a judicial extern for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Georgia Court of Appeals, gaining valuable insight into appellate advocacy and judicial decision‑making.

Before transitioning to legal practice, Alexis spent nearly six years in the trucking and logistics industry as an executive account manager with Fortune 500 companies. This experience provides her with valuable insight into the operational and business realities faced by clients in the transportation sector, allowing her to deliver practical, results‑driven counsel tailored to their needs.
