Thomas McBratney brings nearly two decades of litigation experience to MGC, with a practice focused on products liability, premises liability, professional liability, catastrophic injury and insurance coverage matters. His extensive background in federal litigation provides clients with strategic insight and practical guidance in complex, high-exposure disputes.

Prior to joining MGC, Thomas practiced with two South Carolina-based firms, representing clients in state and federal courts in a civil defense practice focused on products and premises liability, professional liability, catastrophic injury and insurance coverage matters. He also spent more than a decade serving as a law clerk to Chief United States District Judge R. Bryan Harwell, where he gained firsthand experience in all aspects of federal court litigation and procedure. While pursuing his JD at Samford University Cumberland School of Law, Thomas served on the editorial board of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, the nation’s oldest law review dedicated to the advancement of trial advocacy. His diverse experience and deep understanding of the judicial process enable him to provide clients with thoughtful counsel throughout every stage of litigation.
