Janaye Godfrey’s practice focuses on litigation in our Nashville office, where she represents insurance carriers in a wide range of civil matters. With experience in personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability, Janaye brings a practical and client‑focused approach to defending claims. She emphasizes proactive communication, working closely with clients from the outset to set clear expectations and guide cases efficiently toward resolution.
Prior to joining MGC, Janaye practiced with a personal injury law firm, where she handled auto accident and premises liability matters. This experience provided her with valuable insight into plaintiff‑side strategies and claim development, allowing her to anticipate challenges and craft effective defense approaches for her clients.
While in law school at Belmont University College of Law, she served as Executive Entertainment Law Editor of the Belmont Entertainment Law Journal, where her article, “The Mental Health Crisis Among NCAA Student‑Athletes: Will the NCAA Finally Step Up?”, was selected for publication in 2024.
In her personal time, Janaye enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants in Nashville and staying active through regular workouts.
