Michaela Kelty’s practice focuses on insurance coverage and business litigation in our Boston office. She takes a detail-oriented approach to practicing law by questioning and examining the layers of a legal challenge to develop creative, strategic solutions that position clients on strong footing.

Before joining MGC, Michaela practiced at a New Hampshire law firm where she primarily focused on defending liability lawsuits, among litigating other types of matters. Michaela also gained some experience in insurance coverage work, which was how she came to realize that she enjoyed practicing insurance coverage law and litigating in this context. Before that, she practiced at a general practice firm in Maine, gaining a wide range of experience in general litigation, criminal defense, real property litigation, estate litigation and some transactional law. Michaela has represented clients in courts across Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

In her personal time, Michaela enjoys running along the coast near her home and crafting. Her favorite moments are those spent with her friends and family, especially her husband, Mase. The balance she finds in family life and outdoor activity fuels the focus and energy she brings to her practice.
