Tom Bracken’s practice focuses on insurance coverage in first and third party contexts on construction defect, property, general liability and all litigation related to same. He represents insurance companies and their insureds in complex, high‑exposure matters. With more than 30 years of experience, Tom brings a strategic, practical and business‑oriented approach to dispute resolution. He understands effective advocacy requires not only a command of the law, but an understanding of each client’s business practices and risk considerations.

Prior to joining MGC, Tom practiced with several insurance litigation firms and has managed offices and practices. Throughout his career, the range of litigation matters involving insurance coverage disputes, construction claims, premises liability, products liability and bad faith allegations has instilled a result first approach to every claim. Regarding his clients’ business, Tom believes learning the clients’ business practice goes hand-in-hand with achieving the clients’ goals. 

In his personal time, Tom routinely roots for sports teams that have left him with scars that entering a courtroom cannot provide.  However, he is (happily) actively involved in youth sports, having previously served as a coach and athletic director. He continues to support and fund youth athletics initiatives.
