Join MGC and guest speaker Evan McConnell of Rimkus for a one-hour webinar designed to help participants understand the dynamics of the human body and the associated injury potential in low-speed automotive accidents. Human anatomy, with a focus on the skeletal system, spinal column and location of landmarks, will be discussed so that personal injury allegations may be more clearly understood. Participants will be introduced to the body dynamics and injury potential involved in several types of vehicle impacts. The webinar also covers commonly claimed injuries, such as strains and sprains, bulging discs, intervertebral disc herniation, temporomandibular joint dysfunction and more.

Evan McConnell is a biomechanical engineer and an ACTAR-accredited vehicle accident reconstructionist. His expertise involves biomechanical analysis of injuries and human motion. In his role as a Rimkus Senior Biomechanical Consultant, McConnell is responsible for the evaluation of vehicle and occupant dynamics involved in motor vehicle accidents as well as the consistency of injuries sustained in these accidents. He also evaluates slip-and-fall events and is a certified XL Tribometrist. In his prior research, McConnell studied the kinematics and kinetics of multiple injury populations. He also designed and optimized a medical device for use in shoulder surgeries.
