PHILADELPHIA, PA – McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) is pleased to announce that attorneys Dominique Ryan and John Shea have joined the firm’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic practices, further strengthening MGC’s litigation capabilities throughout the region.
Dominique Ryan
Dominique brings over 25 years of experience in insurance law and litigation, representing insurers and businesses in complex, high-exposure matters across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her practice focuses on litigation, management and professional liability, motor vehicle litigation, premises liability, products liability and trucking and transportation.
Prior to joining MGC, Dominique spent more than two decades with a Philadelphia-based civil litigation and trial firm, where she was a partner in the firm’s trial and litigation department. Throughout her career, she has successfully handled numerous trials involving medical malpractice and motor vehicle claims, earning a reputation for thoughtful advocacy and practical problem-solving. Her extensive experience allows her to guide clients through every stage of the litigation process, from early case evaluation through trial.
Dominique earned her Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and her Bachelor of Science from West Chester University, where she also graduated magna cum laude. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and New Jersey Bar Association.
John Shea
John brings more than three decades of litigation and advisory experience to MGC, representing clients in complex matters across a broad range of industries. His practice focuses on public and private transportation litigation, medical and professional malpractice defense, commercial disputes involving construction, commercial real estate, insurance coverage and bad faith claims and products liability.
Throughout his career, John has successfully tried numerous cases in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut. His extensive trial experience, combined with a practical and strategic approach to client service, has made him a trusted advisor to businesses, insurers, healthcare institutions and transportation-related entities facing high-stakes litigation and operational challenges. In addition to his litigation practice, John regularly advises clients on risk management, policy development and business operations. He also brings significant experience in commercial and corporate matters, including business formation and structuring, commercial and residential real estate transactions and general business counseling. John’s broad legal background enables him to provide clients with practical guidance that helps them navigate complex legal issues while advancing their business objectives.
John earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and Bachelor of Science from Providence College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He is a member of DRI and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
