RICHMOND, VA – Law firm McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) welcomed seasoned litigator Michael Essig to its Richmond team, expanding the firm’s litigation bench in Virginia. With nearly two decades of experience, Essig has a proven track record of defending businesses and individuals in litigation involving commercial transportation and trucking, products liability, premises liability, general tort defense and insurance coverage disputes across state and federal courts.
Essig is known for his strategic, client-centered approach to litigation. He understands the financial and operational impact legal disputes can have on clients and works to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions. Essig earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia. He is an active member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and the Virginia Bar Association.
