PHILADELPHIA, PA – McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) welcomed workers’ compensation attorneys Thomas Kelly, Sean Murphy, Danielle Peyton and Samantha Weigand to its Philadelphia office, establishing the firm’s first dedicated workers' compensation presence in the region.

Kelly brings more than two decades of experience advising employers, insurers and third-party administrators in high-exposure workers’ compensation matters across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. “We are excited to welcome Tom to our firm—his experience and dedication is a tremendous asset not only to the clients who have worked with him for years, but also to our clients across Pennsylvania and New Jersey,” says MGC Managing Member Jay Courie. “Tom is a highly skilled attorney who can navigate even the most complex workers’ compensation issues, and I’m confident that everyone will benefit from his practical approach and commitment to great service.” Kelly focuses his practice on the strategic defense and resolution of complex claims, particularly in the construction, oil and gas and transportation industries. He is regularly entrusted with managing significant matters and is known for his decisive approach and command of complex claim issues. Kelly guides clients through disputes with an emphasis on efficiency, cost control and practical resolution strategies designed to minimize exposure and align with business objectives. He earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Law School and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Scranton. Kelly is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and serves on the board of directors of the Catholic Youth Organization.

Representing clients across Pennsylvania, Murphy earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from William Paterson University. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Representing clients across Pennsylvania, Peyton earned her Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada. She is a member of The Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Representing clients across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Weigand earned her Juris Doctor from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Temple University. She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association.
