For Tiffany Callis, service runs in the family; she’s a proud third-generation sailor who served in the U.S. Navy. Today, Tiffany brings that same dedication and discipline to her role as a Practice Management Specialist in MGC’s Columbia office, where her attention to detail and commitment to excellence continue to shine.

After graduating high school, Tiffany enlisted in the Navy, admitting she “just couldn’t figure out what [she] wanted to do when [she] ‘grew up.’” What began as a search for direction quickly became a defining chapter in her life and career. Tiffany served as a Sonar Technician onboard the USS Hue City (CG-66) and deployed shortly after the events of September 11, 2001 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. “Little did I know, my time in the military ended up being a lot more eventful than I imagined due to the events of September 11th,” she shared.

Reflecting on her service, Tiffany credits the Navy with shaping her character, work ethic and everyday habits. “The military shaped who I am in more ways than I can explain,” she said. “Some of the biggest things are my obsession with being early to absolutely every event I go to, eating each meal as though it’s a race against time (thanks to boot camp for that one) and needing everything to be perfectly in order.”

“All in all,” she added, “my time in the military was something I will never forget and undoubtedly shaped me into the person I am today.”
