PHILADELPHIA, PA – Law firm McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) welcomed attorneys Michael Kunsch and Erin Lamb to its Philadelphia office, strengthening the firm’s litigation capabilities across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Michael Kunsch

With over two decades of experience, Kunsch represents manufacturers, retailers, transportation companies and commercial clients in complex civil litigation, including product liability, catastrophic injury, fire and explosion cases, transportation matters, general liability and commercial disputes. Licensed in all state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he has successfully argued before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Pennsylvania Superior Court and the New Jersey Appellate Division. Kunsch is widely recognized for his ability to defend high-exposure product liability cases involving catastrophic burn injuries and a broad range of industrial, commercial and consumer products—from ladders and power tools to gas-fired appliances and tractor-trailer components. He also represents clients in the retail and hospitality sectors, including concert promoters, entertainment venues, security companies, apartment complex owners, restaurants and national retailers. Kunsch regularly defends trucking and logistics companies in transportation matters involving fatalities and serious injuries, and serves as a key member on MGC’s Trucking Rapid Response Team.

As a trusted advisor, Kunsch counsels clients on evidence preservation, expert retention and e-discovery protocols. He is a frequent lecturer and published author on topics central to high-stakes litigation, including product liability defense, expert witness strategy, spoliation, risk management, supply chain liability and litigation best practices for the retail, hospitality and transportation industries.

Kunsch earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona, graduating cum laude. He is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, DRI’s Product Liability Committee and USLAW Network, where he previously served on the Board of Directors and chaired the Complex Tort and Product Liability Practice Group. Erin Lamb

Lamb’s practice is focused on general liability claims, catastrophic loss, construction defect and insurance coverage, with extensive experience in early case evaluation, litigation strategy development and risk management. For nearly two decades, she has represented small businesses, corporations, attorneys, employers and homeowners' associations in state and federal courts across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Lamb handles a broad spectrum of complex, high-exposure catastrophic loss and casualty cases, including claims involving wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, quadriplegia, loss of limb and multi-million-dollar property loss. Her defense work spans product liability, construction site accidents, workplace safety, premises liability, explosions, fires and building collapses.

A recognized leader in the legal community, Lamb currently serves as the Treasurer of the Philadelphia Bar Association and Treasurer of the Campaign for Qualified Judges. She has served on the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors, as the Chair of the Women in the Profession Committee and the Women’s Rights Committee, as well as a liaison to the Legislative Affairs Committee. Lamb is also a member of Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, The Lawyers’ Club of Philadelphia, Temple American Inn of Court and Brehon Law Society of Philadelphia.

Lamb earned her Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University, graduating cum laude. She has been awarded for her practice by The Best Lawyers in America© since 2023 and Philadelphia Super Lawyers since 2017.
