Sean Madden and JD Keister of MGC Raleigh resolved a multi-week trial as a result of the judge granting a pre-trial motion which excluded the presentation of approximately $2,000,000.00 in lost profits by the corporate plaintiff on the first day of trial. The case involved a dispute between two corporate entities arising out of a construction project. After months of extensive discovery and litigation, the exclusion of the lost profits changed the dynamics of the case and led to immediate resolution far less than any demands that had been received.
