MGC was founded in Columbia, SC in 1995 by Hugh McAngus, Rusty Goudelock and Jay Courie, three lawyers who wanted to practice law differently. Focusing on designing a firm that felt like family, they wanted to look forward to coming to work every single day.
Our Core Values
Over the years, MGC’s footprint grew from that of a small, boutique workers’ compensation firm to what it is today - an insurance law firm serving clients from 12 states nationwide. Our growth came as a direct result of client demands, and finding the right people, in the right place and at the right time.
