CHARLOTTE, NC – Law firm McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) welcomed workers’ compensation attorney Adam Whitten to its Charlotte office, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities in North Carolina. For more than two decades, Whitten has represented employers, insurers and national corporations in workers’ compensation matters across the state. His practice spans a broad range of industries, including long‑term care, financial services, construction, security, transportation, restaurant, retail, telecommunications, aviation, staffing and manufacturing. Whitten has handled cases at every level of the North Carolina workers’ compensation system and has successfully defended matters before the Full Commission, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. In addition to his workers’ compensation practice, he has represented clients in civil disputes involving negligence, premises liability and third‑party lien issues, and has defended employers before the North Carolina Department of Labor and the EEOC.

Whitten earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University.
